Are all Patios built the same

The simple answer is NO. Every company has their own way of building patios, carports and alfresco's. Usually the longer the company has been around, the better as you would assume that they have made their design mistakes and learnt from them. Some companies will sell you the world and build your new patio as cheap as possible, while others (including myself) actually take great pride in their work and deliver as promised. The main differences are in the construction design, materials used and the quality of workmanship.

WOW, here's a good topic! The truth is Australian made steel leaves import for dead. Whilst aussie made steel is considerably more expensive, it has several benefits. The galvanising (rust proof coating) is up to 5x thicker and the outer finish of the steel is so much smoother. The dense weight per metre is also up to 50% heavier. "e" Prime, what is it, do I need it?

'E' Prime or better known as Etch Primer is a layer of powdercoat that does 2 main things. Firstly it creates a much better bond between the steel and the top coat or colour coat and most importantly, it severely reduces the possibility of rust. Do you need it? The closer to the ocean you live, the more reason to have it.
